Are you with them or against them?

Website Review by: Mohsenco

There is a significant problem occurring within the borders of our closest friend and ally, the U.S.A. No, it’s not Anthrax,
gun-toting terrorists or bomb threats. It’s the fact that a recent study revealed that one in five Americans have mental problems of some form or another. This may or may not be true yet it might explain why banks give out free guns when you open an account with them and why Americans have over 11,000 deaths every year due to gun crime whilst its neighbour, Canada, has fewer than 80 deaths per annum, even though it also sells guns to the general public- and they leave their doors open. But then looking at the U.S.’s foreign record, it seems they have a love affair with fighting. Post WW2, they’ve fought in dozens of wars added to hundreds of indirect ones in which they assisted either one side or the other or even both. What is becoming increasingly apparent is that the Americans are slowly taking over the world from under our very own noses. They’re building an empire without the tag and a world where you’re either with them or you’re against them.
Isn’t it the U.S.’s policy to promote democracy throughout the world? A world free of tyrannical dictators and oppressive communists? So how come America’s indirect military history of the previous 50 years reads: Democratically elected leaders overthrown/assassinated- 9. Dictators put in power- 9. Civilians killed because of coups- At least 310,000.
But later on, when the CIA trained dictators go on the rampage and disobey direct orders from mother America, they’re given a slap in the face and put on trial (quite rightly) for war crimes as the people celebrate in the streets and praise their ‘liberators’ for returning ‘democracy’ to their beloved country. Remember? It was the Americans who took freedom away from you in the first place.
Then again what is democracy for America? They give the impression that democracy’s definition is when the man with fewer votes manages to win an election and where the foreign policy is based upon disarming any country that comes to within a fraction of her own military might or, otherwise, threatening to do so in the near future. If this is the case, then why hasn’t any country threatened to bomb Washington and oust the country’s ‘malevolent’ leader who, along with his former colleagues, in all probability hold the world record of war crimes and should, with anticipation, feature in the Guiness Book of World Records.
The point is, the UN is declaring that all country’s have equal international status. It goes on to state that the US’s latest war in Iraq is illegal and unsubstantiated. Normally, making these kinds of remarks against a government or country would pave the way for sanctions and weapons inspectors etc. So where are the patrolling UN soldiers? Where are the NATO air strikes? Where have the UN inspectors disappeared to? We all know about the US’s thousands of nuclear weapons and its wide and lethal variety of other weapons of mass destruction, at their ready in all fifty-two states. What are they doing about it? Nothing. Nought. Nada. I presume it’s because they wouldn’t want to scathe the multimillion pound UN complex in the centre of New York or spoil Kofi Annan’s own attractive and lavish villa close by. The US wasn’t blamed for anything when it handed over $3 Billion to Osama Bin Laden and his fellow fighters, courtesy of the CIA, to defeat the then invading Soviets. It’s quite ironical that Bin Laden ‘repaid’ them in the way he did. One can just about hear the cries of those over passionate about the great superpower: “What must the world be coming to if America did that?”
Recently, a man linked with Al-Qaeda was told by an American prosecutor: “If you’re supporting the Taliban and the Taliban is killing American soldiers, we’re alleging you’re conspiring to kill American citizens abroad.” Hence, we can duly conclude that if the US funded more terrorist groups than I can afford to write and these terrorist groups went on to murder civilians throughout the globe, then I am alleging that the US is conspiring to murder innocent civilians from dozens of countries, inclusive of ours. So that must mean that the US is attacking us without our knowledge although we still manage to have time to be their allies.
Who’s the real threat to this world then? It must be the one who has terrorised countless numbers of people, manipulated societies and governments and killed innocent people in their millions through both their policies and their actions. I’ll leave that up to you to decide. Like Mr. Bush says, you’re either with me or you’re against me.
