finding service offered to UK residents. They usually have good places available in most towns and
cities, and though as they often seem to be the same good places there isn’t much point in checking back at the site everyday it’s well worth taking at least one look for wherever you’re looking to move to. I’m not entirely sure how good it is for finding roommates, most people I’ve talked to who used it that way said that they’d gotten quite a bit of interest, but it always depends on where you are and the kind of place you’re offering.
Format and functions both pretty good, it’s the best free site I know of. Offers the opportunity to set out requirements and be contacted by e-mail whenever a new house is listed that meets them, I’ve tried the
service and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was not bombarded by spam as a result, it seems to be one of the few sites of this kind that actually respects your privacy.
So, they don’t charge membership fees and don’t overly whore themselves out to online advertisers, how do they make the site profitable? Premium services, as far as I can tell, the main one of which seems to be the option to contact ad posters as soon as their notices become visible, rather than having to wait a week with them dangled tantalizingly in front of your snout. The only real draw back of the site, other than it’s necessarily being limited by the number of people who actually want to find rooms and roommates, and seems a fair price to pay for an otherwise entirely free and highly useful service.
