Objective:To observe the
detoxification action of Chinese
angelica root to
Dioscorea bulbifera L and the influence of Chinese angelica root in different
ratios to the toxicity of Dioscorea bulbifera L, and to investigate the detoxification
principle of Chinese angelica root to Dioscorea bulbifera L. Methods: The biochemical indexes, pathology results and GST, SOD activity in liver microsome at the time of 21 days after the administration of medicine in Dioscorea bulbifera L group and Dioscorea bulbifera L and Chinese angelica root groups were observed, and the ratios of Dioscorea bulbifera L to Chinese angelica root were 1∶1,1∶2, 2∶1 respectively. Results: The groups of Chinese angelica root in different ratios to Dioscorea bulbifera L all have obvious
inhibition action to the increases of GPT, ALP, TBil and pathology changes caused by Dioscorea
Bulbifera L, and the inhibition action was best when the ratio of Dioscorea bulbifera L and Chinese angelica root was 1∶2. At the same time, GST, GST-PX and SOD activity were raised. Conclusion: The groups of Chinese angelica root in different ratios to Dioscorea bulbifera L all have inhibition action to the toxicity of Dioscorea bulbifera L, and the inhibition action is best in the group which the ratio of Dioscorea bulbifera L and Chinese angelica root is 1∶2. The principle of the detoxification action of Chinese angelica root is relevant to its antagonism to the activity of biologic oxidation enzyme and medicine metabolizability enzyme in liver mitochondria.
