“The one who dies with the most toys wins.”
“is this all there is to life?”
Many young people find themselves disoriented and confused. Others know what they would like to do with their lives, but don’t know how to get there. Whichever the case may be, there is a need for orientation and guidance. This can be found through parents, teachers, and close friends that we trust.
The Bible is another very important source for achieving success in life. Jesus said if we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all of the things that we need will be provided for us. Too often the standards of success in our world are measured by the education we have attained, the amount of money we have in the bank, by how big a house we live in or how much material possessions we own.
It is not wrong to have a good education, a good job and wealth. But in the long run, it is how we treat others and what we do with our education and our money that people will remember long after we’re gone. We can take nothing with us when we die. What will remain is the good we have done for others in Jesus name. True success can only be measured at the end of our lives in spiritual terms.
