Impromptu visits at the Hilton Hotel result in good food good fare and good company as
the weather here in the South is a bit chilly but pleasant to walk and the man in the green
overcoat welcomed me in that wonderfully elegant Hilton way .. though probably it was his wife that he was waiting for not me.
I had checked that it was alright to bank on the minimum wage as a necessity in writing especially poetry so it was no problem as I had done a bit of practice at the student quarter in trying several ways of getting it all alright on the night so you can imagine my joy when there was no disturbed waiter and none of the usual panic buttons were pushed when I entered the lobby of the Hilton Hotel.
Generally the Russian waiter will rush out and ask if I wish to stay outside since I have donned my walking boots and my black leather coat with a view to striking a pose for poetry over the Christmas period. I checked the price of champagne but having noticed out of my bus window that the Salvation Army were up and about and rattling those collecting boxes . I stuck to my diet and ordered an Italian Expresso with a Blue Muffin mostly in remembrance of times past in England. Truly wonderful experience it turned out to be ........ pre Christmas at the Hilton Hotel .. coffee and a bun ... great fun! Keep on reading and blogging.
