How fast can you type? Most of my friends think they are the world's fastest typers, being computer geeks and all. We all spend so much time on the keyboard, we've come to believe that we are by far the world's fastest human type machine. Well, it's time to test our typing skills, and TypeRacer.com is here for the job.

This site lets you race against fellow typing addicts around the world. You and the fellow typers on your heat will be given a sentence that is a quote from a book, a movie, a song or other. You will need to re-type the quote exactly, including capitalizations and punctuation marks. The first one to finish the sentence correctly is the winner.

At the finish of the first heat, you'll be given the option to submit your name. I was given quotes from Pulp Fiction, Bob Dylan songs, Clockwork Orange and Snatch. It's definitely easier to type quick when you recognize the source for your quote, even if you don't know it by heart.

You get 5 seconds before the race starts to get ready, so the best thing to do in that time will be to read what part of the quote that is already visible and plan your typing strategy in advance. If you get mixed up, don't be nervous. The calmer you are, the faster you'll mend your mistakes. If you're not happy with your results, you can practice your typing skills. Practice long enough and you might end up on the High Scores chart.

TypeRacer is a cute game, and a fun way to practice your typing skills. It's highly addictive, so I wouldn't recommend you start playing it if you have an important task to do. It's probably the best way to pass time in a boring class room, with your laptop. The professor will just think you're typing every word he says.

Hy I have played this game too. It is a quite-famous mini game. I like such games that value speed. Zuma and Ningpo Mahjong is also my favorite. job listings
