What's going on in Literary Circles ... well I need concern myself no further as I received a Newsletter from Literary Newsletter
2008 and there is a definite listing here of what is going on in Literary Circles here in the UK.
I suppose having a delightful sense of humour is a strength to be proud of and I note that
there are many facets of literary history and politics which are discussed within this literary newsletter.
Nikolai Tolstoy - and the last of the Romanovs and their grisly end!
(Tale of the Tsars)
Words of Love,
Firbank, Bellini - rare Steak, Peter McDonell wades through WH Audens Collected Works is sure to raise an eyebrow or cause a wry smile on the face of even the most dour of readers and writers.
Kevin Myers - and Paisley -- against!
Michael Burleigh - Terror Threat!
Adam Le Bor on Turkish Tragedy and Richard barber on the Black Death
Stephen Halliday on Victorian East End (London)one of my favourite haunts I hasten to add.
It's an interesting composite view of writers and the names chosen to represent their views news and works ... I once had a friend who was a QC and he wouldnt handle any correspondence from a college in England because he felt the name that it represented was a scam .. and he made me do it myself ....... I used to distance the name game by inventing new tags such as
The A Man or the B Poet or the C writer .. and then another friend tried numerate views . they were and are a lot more exciting for my friend the QC in another country from this one .. far far away!
Great stuff keep on writing working and getting the lolly! Your Pen Name is your Pen Triumph!
