I got this game 3 days after it came out and love it as a driving
simulation. I say as a driving simulation because i dont
think its fare to compare this to games like burnout and need for speed series because those are arcade style racing games and are very different from simsulation racing games. On that note Gran Turismo 4 is one hell of a
simulation racer. With over 50 courses and 700 cars its definitely not your average racer. What really impressed me though was the amount of tracks and the different styles of tracks you can choose from. I absolutely love Grand Canyon and Nurburghin (srry if i spelled that wrong). The Grand Canyon is incredible and looks so real you could sware you were right there yourself. In fact the reason why it looks so real is that they
actually took real poctures and put them in the background of the game. Also i love the sound in this game. They actually put microphones in each one of the cars and took the sounds of the engine and put themm into the game. This is great for the tone of the race because you can actually feel the difference between a 150 hp stock toyota camry and a 500 hp ViperSRT-10. This is one hell of a game and definitely deserves a spot in your gaming library. Dont think of it though as a completely new game because its basically an incredibly good make up of Gran Turismo 3. This is not a bad thing though because Grand Turismo 3 is what got me into racing games in the first place and is one of my all time favorite games.
