On the Eve of Valentine's day I tuned into Front Row presented by Mark Lawson on Friday night on BBC Radio 4 .. and he was
discussing best
sellers and the new take on that notion of celeb Best Sellers walking around the JK Rowling story of best
selling .. and including some celebs mentioned herein..
Mark Lawson chose to talk about Parkinson and discussed with him a favourite anecdote .. Muhammed Ali who is quoted by Parkinson has being over here to do a soft drinks ad .. anecdotal writing is all the rage!
Julie Walters is funny ha! ha! and her Book has literally sold out as soon as its released! She loves words and has made a packet with her best selling stories in her work.
Richard of Richard & Judy discusses in his Best Seller and - how his father beat him ... and this adds a dash of terror to the whole proceedings but puts him firmly on the top of the list of best selling authors of the celeb genre!
Julie Andrews another top seller discusses the pain of not knowing her father but accepting that the man who brought her up as her father meant he was all a father should be and what she associated in her mind was this man .. who played her father ...... as devotedly as any daughter could.
Paul O'Grady, Maureen Lipman, Sheila Hancock, Peter Kay, all combine to make the Best Sellers List in the programme Front Row presented by Mark Lawson.
Its interesting to observe that Best Selling and Best Sellers have been well acclaimed here in Hampshire and I was fortunate enough to meet up with Best Sellers in the Crime Genre ........ they all make their money through writing - but I do take the point that these Best Selling authors are a world away from Celeb Best Sellers as nobody seems to remember their names other than the young man at Waterstones Book store in Hampshire ........... nice work!
