Firefox is a web browser, which allows a quick and secure about different types of information we need. This browser had its market launch in November 2004, and has gained acceptance.
Note that source code is free software and is available for several versions, including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, GNU / Linux and some Unix-based systems.
Some of the facilities offered by this browser is the fact that it allows navigation through tabs, this allows not have to be opening a separate window each time you need to go to a new site, but remains within the same window, a download manager that indicates the progress of it.
Regarding the latest developments that has had this browser is the incorporation of private browsing, which allows us to surf the internet without a trace or trail of sites visited in our browser. The cookies and temporary files that are needed in this session are erased at the end of it. Another step forward like this, is that we can delete our browsing history by time intervals, for example, if we remove our record of 1 hour, but we must tell the browser what you want to delete and how long ago.
Firefox has gained much ground against its main competitor, Internet Explorer. Has captured over 20% of Internet use and this has benefited greatly because the browser supports all standards that gives the W3, and not earlier versions of Internet Explorer as the 6.0 and 7.0 that are still dominant.
