The "Bama Hadasha" (New
stage) internet site, was built in 1998, on the basis of an older site, called "Other stage".
It is an Israeli site, intended for providing a stage to every
person who's interested in introducing his
artistic works.
The site is divided in four sections: Wording, visual, sound and film-making. Every
creator has a "Creator's
page" in which he can add or edit his works. In any moment one can erase his works from the site.
The copyrights belong to each creator and displayed via the site.
In this site embodied the open and
free nature of the web, almost without censorship. Thus, every person is free to exhibit his works so that the recipients (readers/viewers/listeners) can filter and select the materials in the site according to their preferrings. In this way, "unpopular" works are not neglected, only transferred to the back of the stage.
The site is not pretending to be a replacement for the publishers, notwithstanding, it is playing more than a marginal role in bringing artistic works out to the light.
Moreover, the site's editors are allowed to promote works, by locating them in the main page.
An interaction between the artists and their audience is taking place through the talkbacks. The interface is simple and user friendly. The design is pleasant.
Delight and enjoyment are guaranteed to all reading, watching and listening fans.
