The Shirdi Sai Temple is located at Shirdi a small village in Kopargaon, Taluk in Ahmed nagar Dist of the Maharashtra state in India. Shirdi is well connected by a road.. Devotees from all religions, castes, come to Shirdi for paying homage to Baba.
About Shree Sai Baba, we learn that Chand Bhai, the headman of a little village called Dhopkade saw Sai Baba in a jungle. Further Chand Bhai got surprised when Baba called him by name and informed the whereabouts of the lost horse of Chand Bhai. More over Baba created fire by thrusting a pair of tongs on the ground. All these made Chand Bhai to believe that Baba was not an ordinary man and invited him to her house.
Afterwards Baba lived in Shirdi under a neem tree and begged food whenever he needed it. After some time he lived in a mosque which was called as Dwarakamayi.
Baba preached at Shirdi all his life and performed many miracles to convince people that God exists. He healed people’s diseases and worked for unity and harmony between all communities
Baba breathed his last breath on the15th October 1918. As per his last wish he was buried in Boot’s stone building, came to be known as Samadhi Mandir.
