historical events and shifts in the world order could be expected, either imminently or in the foreseeable future. Recently a work was published on the net, titled "The Enlightenment of Identities of the World And the Emergence of the Millennials From Northeast India", which takes an analytical look at the possibility of such transforming historical developments at this time of the new millennium - and then deductively predicts an ‘evolutionary event’ - as proof of theory - in the present time, which if true will profoundly change the historical and perceptual reality of the present world. “The enlightenment of identities” is both an intellectual and historical proposition. Using the format of a three-tiered hierarchy, and sourcing the male-female characteristics of the human species, the author has grouped some major races and regions of the world - through the ancient, medieval and modern ages - into economic, social and political cultures. These categories inform the ‘identities’ of those peoples. And when this three-tiered pattern is followed to it's logical conclusion or culmination in the modern age, it yields the remarkable conclusion that there is a ‘vacant place’ in the pattern, the ‘filling’ of which requires the imminent evolutionary emergence of a new people, who may be called the Millennials, into the world stage. Indeed it has been proposed that the Millennials already exist, and that there is now the urgent need for them to be socially and scientifically identified through genetic profiling. The age group of the Millennials is expected to be in the 30s and below, and their population is expected to be small, perhaps as low as a few hundred. What is of immense significance to India's Northeast is that, according to the geographical pattern of the three-tiered hierarchy, the Millennials are to emerge from the state of Assam and people of Assamese origin. The author has appealed to those among the Assamese people, to whom this proposition instinctively resonates within, who believe he or she might indeed be a member of the Millennial people, to boldly come forward, so that they may meet among themselves, and organize themselves to be genetically tested for their Millenniality. Apart from ‘revealing’ the historical and cultural ‘identities’ of the world, and the prediction of the emergence of the Millennials, the tract also contains significant historical assessments of three major cultures, namely India, America and the Israelites, who were expected to fulfill critical historical, ideological and intellectual purposes. However, these purposes failed to be fulfilled in the way they were meant to, with unfortunate consequences for these peoples, and the world as well. It also notes the kind of efforts and developments which would ameliorate some of those consequences. If the propositions and prediction of "Enlightenment of Identities of the World" are indeed true, it will profoundly change our world view, and have powerful and immediate consequences for the world, India and its Northeast.
