Life’s little
moments Isn’t it amazing that just when you think that everything is going exactly the way you hoped
it would. Bang, out of nowhere, something topples the applecart. And the nagging question ‘Why me?’ seems to resurface.
It all started when the one thing that was lacking from your plan of ultimate fulfilment was love. The meaning of love to you was like a game of cards. Never knowing when to play your card as the fear of committing lies at the end of that game. You try your luck at it and it’s the best thing ever, a state of emotional bliss.
Could something this good be real? Yes, why not, we all deserve love. Until several months later, you wake up feeling like a bus has hit you. You’re at the throws of an all out emotional warfare. As the love of your life, the one you were supposed to grow old with tells you he loves you, but is not in-love with you. Devastated by what you just heard you lash out at him behaving like a complete lunatic.
There are fewer things sadder in this life, than
watching someone walk away after they have left you. Watching the distance between your bodies expand, until there’s nothing but empty silence. You sit there in your pathetic puddle feeling as though you have lost the will to live.
Right at that moment, you wonder ‘ if I could go back in time, when I was single, lonely and most of all, not heart-broken.’ The biggest fear lurking out there is rejection. Which one is worse- a broken heart or the fear that you might be rejected? Some of us live life not knowing what hurt is, as we put a shield around us, protecting our heart from everything. Sometimes you have to try to fly, and hope that someone will catch you if you fall. Life is not about every breath you take; it’s about the
moments that take you breath away.
