If you feel like changing your life you might need some extra boost for that.
There are several ways, according to
Stephanie Yeh, by which we lose our life force, every day.
1) Lying to ourselves or others.
2) Seeking external validation
3) Talking or
thinking negatively or excessively
4) Tolerating people, things, or situations
5) Having
expectations 6) Taking life too seriously
7) Participating in cause and effect chains
Let's see.
Lying (or manipulating truth) might happen by exaggerating or
downplaying events in the retelling, or switching the sequence of
events. We also have reasons and excuses for our actions instead of
just accepting them the way they are. We also do denial and
self-justification - to ourselves and others. Sometimes we use white
lies or arrange ourselves - or our talents - in the best light,
even if untrue. This has very negative impact on us. It makes us
tense, we are unable to relax, we have to think about every step we
take. Very uncomfortable feeling. Any negative feeling decreases our
life force. Even the little ones. Little white lies might come so
naturally to us, that we don't even recognize them anymore. Try
observing yourself for a one day and think about every word you say, to
see if you notice any manipulation of truth. You might surprise
yourself..
Another huge way to lose our life force is to seek approval or
permission or opinions of other people. We are very sensitive to the
opinions of others - really - why? Do we always have to be right?
What about craving for compliments? What do you really do with them, if you don't
trust yourself deep in your own heart? Think about that for a moment. A
compliment of today is a very dead compliment tomorrow... Some of us do
anything for other people, even in contrary to own our thoughts. Do we
really need anyting from anyone? You do have your own truth in your
heart; trust that it is so and it is.
What about thinking/talking excessively? One of the interesting trends
of today is the lack of silence. We are unable to stop talking, to stop
thinking. We talk even when we have absolutely nothing to say. You
might ask yourself why. (I do.) Even better way to lose life force by
talking or thinking is to do it in a negative way, like heavy
criticism, gossip, and verbal or mental abuse. Mind or mouth (toungue
is the strongest muscle we have) is not easy to quiet.
You can start by relaxing and breating deeply and keeping your mouth shut for 3 minutes every day.
May the force be with you.
Then we come to 'tolerating people, things and situations'. If you see everything around you in a negative way and you are unable to change your point of view to a positive one,
don't you think it's time to let go? Leave the situation or the person
or what ever it is that you tolerate. Stop the bleeding of life force
for good. Nothing in life is worth tolerating if it tores you apart.
Absolutely nothing.
Expectations are pre-meditated resentments, we
are often told. Expectations really get you nowhere. Positive thinking
does instead. Try that one. What is the difference between expectation
and vision? Expectations dictate how the outcome will manifest, while
visions just have to do with the fact that the outcome will manifest.
The universe knows how to adjust your visions, how things work in the
best possible way, as long as you stay positive with the visions you
have and play with the Law of Attraction. If you dictate the rules by
expectations you just get sore heart.
This is the best part. Do you take life seriously?
So many of us are losing their life force by stubbornly being ready to
die for the job they have, or the car they have or whatever 'important'
it might be. Having things is not that much fun than hunting
for the things. Life is meant to be fun, kind of a game that makes us
happy, relaxed and lets us be creative and gather new experiences.
Things are changing and moving, adjusand trust. This planet is a playground and we have been
serious long enough. How to maintain this perspective among the struggles, trials and tribulations of life? Play with you mind for a
one day and imagine that you are an alien who's studying Earth and the humans.
We are quite strange from that perspective. We are hilarious.
The last thing on this list is 'participating in cause and effect chains'. Do we believe everything we hear? For example old idioms like: N o pain, no gain or Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise or Nose to the grindstone . All these cause and effect equations contain words like sacrifice, delayed gratification and struggle . You practically lose your soul while cherishing this kind of stuff! We are surely taught that we have to work hard, on the physical plane and then the rewards in wealth will manifest. Holy cow! Jump off this train and visualize another lifestyle for yourself before you drop dead.
Life is fun. You deserve it. Stop living through other
people. Now or never. Enjoy. Play. More important, laugh, even if it
hurts... You'll get used to it.
