A website dedictated to celebrity gossip and
humour. It
currently enjoys a large underground following, but is yet to break into the
mainstream. The site produces a monthly
newsletter (available to view online)
which comprises stories submitted by the various 'moles' affiliated to the
site. They range from the absurd to the downright filthy, and are written in a
very amusing and usually mocking style. The newsletter also contains links to
various pictures/news articles etc which the editors find particularly funny.
This adds another element if you're ever inclined to send some group emails
round the office...!
The rest of the site is made up of several humourous pages, including a page
where you can
submit nominations for '****'s corner, a place where public
figures are singled out for derision and mockery, and my personal favourite
'the rules of
modern life', where visitors to the site can submit their own
particular rule for surviving the jungle of modern existence. However, as the
site is strictly edited, only the best get through, making it all the more
appealing. I've grown tired on other, unedited humour websites, of having to
trawl through
reams and reams of unfunny attempts at
comedy before finding
something good. Holy Moly presents only the best submissions. This does however
make it hard for you to get yours on there - I've been trying for weeks without
success! I wish you better luck than me...
Holymoly is a must for all those wishing to find some genuinely original comedy
material on the net. It also provides a definite preference to all those
multitudes of 'celeb' magazines - the stories you get on holymoly are much
jucier (such as a certain England
football player's mum getting naughty with her son's team-mates...). They print
only the most salacious and, most importantly, hilarious stories.
Enjoy!
