Neurotically Yours

Website Review by: CountessBellaDonnaDrakul

Ever catch yourself sitting in the park and wondering what the animals around you are really thinking?
Do you ever watch the cute little squirrels and wonder if they're thinking about creating wrath in the world in their little heads? These may seem like odd questions but you'll think otherwise once you've viewed the offbeat, politically incorrect, dark humor website Neurotically Yours. Based upon the twisted mind of Jonathan Ian Mathers, this two dimensional biweekly internet cartoon features an extremely opinionated squirrel who tends to voice his opinions about anything and everything with a random outcry of releasing squirrely wrath to all. Created in 2002, Neurotically Yours has grown to great lengths of fandom all over the world and has been featured in advertisements by local business chains such as Hot Topic. Upon entering the website, viewers are warned about the subject matter and that the cartoon is not to be viewed by those without a sense of humor but viewers shouldn't be warned about the cartoon itself but by the disturbing characters within.
Throughout the years that this cartoon has aired, characters have been added and removed several times but the main characters of the show is what really gives the cartoon its personality. Neurotically Yours features an off the wall cast which includes Germaine (a sexy gothic girl who adopts a squirrel to be her pet and best friend); Foamy (a verbally opinionated squirrel who's Germaine's best friend); and Foamy's three cousins who are Pilz-e (an overmedicated squirrel who resembles Woody Allen), Begley (a British/punk rock squirrel), and The Hatta' (a black, racist squirrel that rants and raves about racism). The cartoon's cast with their disturbing views on life, including the crazed pizza boy who stalks Germaine, is what gives the cartoon its popularity and leaves the viewer with a groan of disgust or an uproarious laugh. To all who view this cartoon, you'll never see life the same way again until you've viewed it through the eyes of Foamy!
