I'll talk about a great name of our literature - Antonio Frederico de
Castro Alves. He was and is a great brazilian poet. He got famous due his
poetry considered black and crook. But he was perfect, and was of great importance to the abolishment movement from our country. The main Castro Alves' books were: Gonzaga ou A revolução de Minas, Os escravos, Hinos do Equador, A cachoeira de Paulo Afonso and Espumas flutuantes. After writing a lot of poetry and enchanting many hearts, Castro felt in love with the singer Agnese Trinci Murri, little after his health status got aggravated, and died at July, 6th of 1971, by 24 years old. To honor this great artist is and always will be a great bliss. Closing this text I bring poetry - the better way to please a poet is writing poetry.
Hail Castro, Hail AlvesHe was born at Cabaceiras,At fourteen days of a month. This was March. But the year?1847...It was when the town,With another name get dressed.
Today it's
called Castro Alves,Yes, Antonio! He wrote poetry like no one else,He had soul,And still have.Beyond...We still be hostages of him.Fighter,Warrior,
Words tamer,Abolishtive. For the sake he fought,A flag raised,And his black poetry...Ah, a lot
teach to us!And still teach. His words:Romantic,Devoted,Love and feeling. We are all brothers!Crook his poetry,Is, that...From castro, was called. If still there be.Only would be to astonish,In brief outbursts,Minds! And today all I claim is a hail:Hail Castro, Hail Alves!
