How to write a report
Let us presume that you still have not written any report yet and you want to start doing that.
Well, there is no problem about that whatsoever. Can you try to write a small report and that report does not necessarily mean that you write it to be a long one. Try to find out any subject of interest on the field of translation.
Try to pick a subject which you like and know a lot about and once you do that try to write your own first sentences on that subject of translation. Remember that others should find it interesting as well. The reason behind finding it interesting by others is to motivate them to continue reading about it and this is part and parcel of your success in writing. On the basis of that selecting the topic is the first step of the success of the writer.
What could be more worthwhile to be mentioned in this respect is that you can find out any subject which you do not know about from one side and from the other side you like to expand your knowledge about. You can select one of the topics that translators start to bring about discussions within forums and that is an important plus. You can learn now that it becomes no longer difficult to write and once you train yourself this difficulty begins to fade.
Start to read some books and other writers articles on that particular subject and then in the aftermath of that start to summarize information and therefore you formulate ideas and immensely basic knowledge that enables you to write your first article. Remember you will not be able to write without formulating ideas or without initial reading on any subject you would choose.

Yes, of course, there is. As you write your report try not to write it normally as other translators would do in usual cases. What must be written? Well, write distinctive and strange information that is shocking for readers and write information in a form of suspense if you can do that. Once you do that properly remember there will be lots of readers to your reports.
You might have written articles before and you felt that there are no readers for your articles. Do you know that there are no readers? It is because of the fact that those articles are as the same as other articles. There is nothing new at all within its contents. This quite dramatically indicates that it is important to include something completely new.
If your report is more distinctive then more translators are going to read your report and want it. The less it is unique then there will not be readers for it.
Try to create more value for your readers in no uncertain terms.
Let us presume that you included something new for readers in your articles then they want to get more and more so they want more from you and therefore they are going to wait for your periodical reports and your success is going to rise.
Exactly this is like watching part of a nice film scene in a television advertisement and what happens is that you become keen on watching the whole film. Do not give them the whole film but give them a part of it and let them wait for the other next one. Remember they will be waiting always for the next one.
After you finish then do not pass your article only to one person but instead pass it to large groups of people.
