Rediff
mail which was once considered to be one of the easiest and sucessful mail service, doesn't seem to live upto its image. Its not long ago, that theIndian .com company has changed the outlook of its mail
service to Beta version.With the new bets versionit has come out with services like a Preview Pane for the incoming mails, option to search
mails and other services, which may be illusive at one look. But Hey ! Just join the beta service and U might feel the original mail system was a lot better experience.
The new system
looks a lot better, But one feels Rediff.com hasn't been able to maintain the quality of service. If you try and delete threeor four emails at once, more often than not your
page stops responding, and the next time your page get refreshed, you'll see the deleted mails back in your inbox. This leaves the user very annoyed at times, when he is in urgent lookout of some important email. Other than that, at ties user may clickat the mail to see the preview in thePreview Pane and a
message appears saying that the message is seconds away and it will takea verylarge time toload.Many inefficiencies like this add to the annoyance ofusers. Whatever the reason maybe, this won't be a refreshing experiencefor the user to find your mail servicekeeping u in guessing, whether it will open in the displayed time or not.
It would be good for the users, if
Rediff works towards developing the ease of use and other features, rather than just looking at improving the looks of things in future.
