Google launched last Friday, on test mode, the Google Patent Serch, a new tool a new tool that is used to search millions
of
patents regitered in the United States. This latest incorporation to the already vast colection of specialized Google tools alows you to search through aproximately seven million patents using as parameters the number, date or name of the inventor. As for curiosity, this
service also has images of some patents such as a tooth brush of 1938. The server includes all of the inventions since 1970 through mid 2006, except the ones that have pending aprooval, and the international ones. This service is at www.google.com/patents and will compete with the US Bureau of Patents and Registered Brands, the oficial amecican agency used by historians, lawyers, inventors among others. "It is a natural expansion of our mission to turn public information more accessible." Said Doug Banks, engeneer of the company at the coorporate blog.
