A group of high school students decided to unite to do something less useless with their free time, entertain hundreds of
users a day! This is the proposal of Tomate Cru, (Raw Tomato) where authors, together with their readers, throw
tomatos in text form, as images and videos at the most important, or not, topics that fly around the internet. With a spicy humour, and lots of ammunition, Perfect Spawn, Ecszavier and Elomarns talk about the most varying subjects, and always with links to those who want to know more about it, with a rich hypertext, using photos and videos straight from Youtube to illustrate the news. "I started only wanting to make people laugh," tells Perfect Spawn, the visionary of the project, "but when I saw, it was working very well for a site done carelessly with no objective. I even thought of making some money out of it!" Obviously there is a long way to go until the thousand daily visits that it wants, but it reaches already the outstanding number of a hundred daily visitors, even more taking in account the small publicity existing about the site. "People get to know our site through indications from other people, and especially from Orkut," comments Ecszavier. Nowadays, only the three publishers from the site write all the texts, but they always accept contributions of anyone with a good material, and preferably, funny.
