Homoeopathy :A General Idea And Remedies To Cure Acne Homoeopathic Healing Principle :Homoeopathy heals by the princlple of “simila similibus curanter”, which in our language means that similar cure similar when given in small doses.This law is also called the law of Similars by many homoeopaths.
Homoeopathy doses consist of mother tinctures ,pellets,ointments and tonics. The mother tinctures are available in two makes,the German Make and the Indian Make.The German Make is the most popular make.
Now let us discuss in detail the remedy of acne , the common teenage problem. Acne is commonly called the pimples in our day to day language and it is a common teenage problem. The skin disease is the prime concern for a physician to deal with ;therefore arises a need for special mention of certain relevant and important points. Most of the skin diseases come from within.Eruptions denote an internal derangement.A healthy body has a healthy skin and a diseased skin does not exist in a healthy body.The treatment of the skin diseases by mere external application is mere an error.The disappearance of the disease by outer application denotes its suppression ,which might strike inward, attacking some organs of the body with grave consequences .To treat the skin troubles with lotions is the wrong theory according to the Homoeopaths. Acne can be defined as a chronic inflammation of the sebaceous gland and hair follicles ,characterized by an eruption of conical isolated elevations of moderate size and various degrees of redness. names and Varieties :
Pimples can be classified into four main categories,Acne Punctuata,Acne indurate,Acne rosacea and acne strophulosa . Firstly, the acne Punctuata can be recognized when there is collection of sebaceous matter in the form of pointed eruptions .When squeezed out of the skin is emitted in cylindrical form having appearance of a small maggot . So these pimples are popularly called the maggot pimples.Belladona ,Pulsatilla and Acid Phos are the head remedies of the maggot pimples.
In the second type of the pimples the acne indurate which are hard and painful and produce a sensation of tightness about the face. Calcerea Carb and Carbo Animals are the suggested remedy for this type of pimples. In the third kind ,that is the acne rosacea is not the pimples prone to youngsters it is caused in women in whom catamenial function is imperfect .These pimples are bright red ,with varicose veins and the face becomes dotted with red pimples.Rhus Tox, Antimonium Crudum,Carbo Amimals,Nux Vomica are some of the head cures for these cases.
Lastly there is acne Strophulosa ,which consists of small white pimples chiefly on the face and the neck.Calcerea carb, Hepar Sulph,Antimonium Crudum are the head remedies for this type.
Severe Pimples : If the pimples are severe and do not succumb to any medicine ,Arsenic Iodide and Sulphur Iodide might be tried . These cure severe and inveterate cases. Asterias Rub.and Kali Bromide are the most specific remedies for curing pimples.In case they fail Bromium 30 might be tried. Now I shall suggest a list of medicines according to the symptoms of the patient . Symptoms are an important aspect of Homoeopathic healing.Just as the drooping of the plant is a symptom of shortage of water ,blue color of the water is the symptom of its vitality and larve thriving on stagnant water is a symptom of disease.So Homoeopath finds symptoms just as the police finds and goes by the clues.
 Sulphur should be taken in the morning if the selected remedies fail. Dulcamara should be prescribed if there are rashes on the face before menses . Hydrocotyle is given if acne is accompanied with derangements of urine .
HeparSulph is excellent for the pimples which suppurate with white pus .And lastly ,Silicea is suggested when the pimples take the form of Boils.
Homoeopathic medicines are made in three potencies,IM ,30 X,and 200 X . The 1X is the strongest potency and 200 and 30 are milder than the 1M .The strongest one should be taken once a day (three to five pellets depending upon the pellet size) and the 30,200 can be taken more than once.
Precautions like avoiding onion,Coffee, Flavoured meals before taking the medicine. So I am an ardent believer and promoter of Homoeopathy .I cure my day to day cough and cold by sweet pellets . Do you?
