Look what I found Ladies/Gentlemen! I thought sewing was out of date. But it's coming back! Sewing is growing and not in grandma's quilting club. This fine art is picking up speed and more and more young people are finding a very relaxing skill that reaps high benefits.
Owners Linda and Joseph Martinez, own's the Village Sewing Center in Sonoma County, Santa Rosa, Ca. This "Sewing Hub" is no little place. They handle everything from sale's to repairs with free estimates, needles, to materials and fine fabric's. Or register for a sewing class or learn how to start your own modern sewing club. With all the new things happening in the world of fashion, this place looks to be the perfect place to start a sewing hobby or career.
Keep The World Sewing is a sewing club that has"threads"all over. The village seems to incorporate a sound following. From everything to hosting special events you can attend, or learning the monthly specials. This site offers it all. Then sign up for one or more of the free sewing clubs. This is the site you want to visit and soon. The site is large, but friendly and not a lot reading. Nothing fancy and I enjoyed learning the different things in sewing. Everything from quilts, needlepoint, knitting, embroidery, and I can go on and on! If you sew, this is a site to check out.
I couldn't find any hidden charges, or fancy memberships, and they have a free e-mail you can sign up. If nothing else this is a good resource when that dreaded day comes when your doctor tells you need a hobby!
