Recent Blog (January 2007) by Jacmel productions dedicated to the naïve
painting from Haiti and to its great
painters. The paintings posted on the
messages are splendid and they perfectly illustrate the talent of naïve painters and the richness of art from Haiti in general. Some masters’ canvas are presented in the Blog, like, for
example, “The Babel tour” by Prefete Duffaut. The Blog
content is also interesting because of certain messages which post texts from Haitian authors about painting subjects and creation in Haiti, for example, a text by Jean Métellus whose title is “The Bible seen by Haitian naïve painters” or comments on the beautiful book by Mireille Nicolas: “Haiti painted walls”. For Haitian people and those who know Haiti, some winks will please: for example, a painting by Marc Cadet which represents the Jacmel market created in 1895. We wish a long life to this Blog that has already an extraordinary content after only a few weeks .
