If you are looking for an exotic and unusual place (I don’t mean a hot sunny
country like Caribbean isles), I mean Republic of Moldova that is situated in the East Europe between Romania and Ukraine. Moldova is a small country but with lots of economic potential, it has cheap, natural food and alcoholic beverages, about 70 % of the soils are very fertile.Vegetables are very tasty and aromatic the same can be said about the fruits.The wine industry is one of the most developed branch. The quality of the wine is high and it is popular in all CIS countries and also in some of European countries. One of the biggest wine factory is named Cricova it has about 50 km of underground corridor-caves where they keep the bottled wine. There are even trips for tourists, where you can even try every wine you desire. Moldova has a beautiful landscape, it is made up from hills and valleys, its capital Chisinau has also “wavy” landscape. The capital is very gorgeous it has lots of trees and parks and is quite clean for a capital. Public transportation is also pretty developed and costs from 1 to 3 lei, considerably cheap (1$ = 12 lei), therefore there are lots of shopping centers, supermarkets and minimarkets. The majority of the population from the capital city are living in building blocks starting from 5 floors to 16 floors buildings. There are a lot of newly constructed buildings made in European style which price ranges from 25 000$ to 250 000$, but my amazement was when I saw their private houses in periphery and even in villages, almost all with 2-3 storey having unique design, strong walls and a sense of personality. The population is very friendly, intelligent and hospitality is their main characteristic. They like to dress nice and fashionably, they are slim and fit neverthe less their national dishes are very delicious and numerous.
The best time to visit Moldova is from april to october. There are lots of other interesting features about this country, they remain to be discovered by you.
