Personally I use Myspace.com to network with like minded individuals to talk about the music I am into, groups such as business ventures puts me in touch with others that can help to grow my personal business and help to get new contacts around the world. I would say that Tom, the gentleman who stated Myspace.com did so in order to fill a need to make friends, then as things sometimes do, it took on a life of it's own.

Even if it sometimes gets infiltrated by hackers who mess it up for a day or two.
