entertainment portal
Indya.com, the Internet portal wholly owned by the STAR Group, has announced
the launch of its digital
entertainment store, which makes available for download popular entertainment content.
According to a portal release, Bollywood events like 'The Star Screen Awards 2007, comedy shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, soaps like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Karam Apna Apna to celebrity-packed shows like Koffee with Karan Season 2 and Jodee Kamal Ki, are available at www.broadband.indya.com .
More entertainment shows are slated for release on the site in the months to come, it said.

Then, there are the various products, packages and pricing options available - you can buy individual episodes of particular shows for as little as $0.99 an episode and
exclusive star performances from award shows for nothing more than $1.99, the release said.
The site also offers other exclusive packages. The service is available worldwide and is targeted at broadband-enabled South Asian audiences in the U.S., U.K., Canada and South East Asia, the portal said.
The service is offered via a model in which content is downloaded to the end-user's PC.Purchased content is then playable on up to two Windows Media compatible devices, including portable players, allowing consumers to view their content on the go.
This is the first time an Asian Internet portal has made this kind of scale of entertainment content available online, said Ajay Vidyasagar, executive vice-president and head, Interactive Media, STAR India.
