Was Christ a narcist?

Website Review by: rahuls

Last time I was reading a psychology book and came across one bizarre statement, which said, “Many psychologist believed
that Christ was a narcist”. Though no concrete proof is there to prove, there till now it’s just the vague hypothesis.
Anyhow, we all are narcist in our own ways. We all love ourselves. Though most of us may wish to die at some point of time, that’s for just a time phase. Last time I heard an old lady saying that I’m living just for my kids otherwise I would have died long back. But I, instantly, thought; “I’ll take care of your kids then are you ready to die”. I’m sure even if I would have offered her that piece of advice she wouldn’t have died. And “life instinct” is, undoubtedly, much stronger than the “death instinct”.
Well coming back to the main topic, to call oneself the “SON OF GOD”, itself points towards the idea of narcissism. As per Bible, Jesus had shown paranormal powers, like commanding the storm to fade and healing the sufferers. I do have faith in God that shatters when I’m pain, though. But a question remains, if he was the Son of God then why did he suffer so much? If he had some powers then why didn’t he brainwash his enemies! Why did he suffer, instead he could have made his enemies suffer! And in any case, if Christ was no able to fight back then why didn’t His Father come to save him! And at last why did he come to this world, was that just the show of power!
During crucifixion, He begged mercy from His father on the people around Him since they were ignorant of what they were doing. That was really too kind of Him but then what resurrection meant! Wasn’t resurrection an indication towards re-birth?
The recent book of Dan Brown, breaks many myths of Christianity, that stirs my thoughts since I always looked upon Jesus as ultimate power. Christians do Sun worship, completely shatters my belief. And what the whole fuss about Holy Grail? Many questions and no satisfactory answer, if you have any answer just tell me!
