Play.com is the site for anyone seeking bargain priced DVD’s and CD’s. Prices are significantly below the Recommended Retail
Price – the first series of Desperate Housewives, for example, is currently
selling on play.com for GBP30.99 – a 31% discount on the Recommended Retail Price. Better still, all orders are delivered free of charge. Launched in 1998, Play has grown in popularity to seriously rival the more established online retailers.
In addition to CD’s and DVD’s, play also sells gadgets, electronics, games, ringtones and has recently moved into book selling. The site regularly holds extensive sales and often holds offers such as 2 DVD’s for GBP12, 2 CD’s for GBP12 and 3 books for GBP15. The site is currently boasting newly released boxed sets for up to 1/3 off. For UK
shoppers, take note that CD’s are imported from North America and as such the tracklisting may differ from the UK version. The site is also accessible internationally and shoppers in the UK for example can order items from the US site.
The books section is not comprehensive as yet, but stock will no doubt increase in the not too distant future. Delivery is always prompt and reliable. I have been a Play customer for several years now and it is always my first port of call for DVD’s and CD’s.
