Most
of us in the contemporary and the so called networked society have cognition
of what is the right way to go about things but this is as ironical as it is
true that hardly any of us walk those right pathways in life. Success in the
age of information is dependent upon the kind of a knowledge database you have
whereby both quantity and quality have their respective significance and most
of us are aware of it and also have the respective sources to gain knowledge
from. But yet the process is not as simple as it seems because of the very
diversity that exists in the kind of information and its source that one has to
look into. The globalized society requires you know something about everything
and everything about some things and its easier said than done. We have several
sources of information ranging from newspapers to internet to books etc but yet
this abundance of sources rather becomes an expedient of confusion. It is with
an idea to come over this impediment that the author of the blog “webdose” has started the daily updated blog.

Webdose presents a unique blend of
information ranging from economics to environment to society to politics
complied through the different sources that fall into the daily reading domain
of the author. Its more of a symposium of information rather than being a self
created medium of information but its an effective medium to communicate
diversity of information through a single window. The author has tried his best
to incorporate broad areas of major subjects into the blog for gaining
pervasive relevance for his audience but the content does seems restrained to
the Indian perspective. The author has included articles from famous dailies
from India
and also some very famous global magazines. He has stated the sources with the
necessary hyperlinks but I am not sure of its copyright correctness.

All
in all seems a good initiative but might struggle with the copyright issues a
little bit but certainly a good way to keep updated at least for the
subcontinent audience.
