Peres Nobel Peace
winner has been selected and elected President of
Israel ... there is a foot in the right direction where we get the news
all the way from the Middle East and nobody knows at all what is
happening in the UK.
I have followed with interest the blogs from the Middle East and Turkey
and there is not a day that they dont email me from those faraway
lands requesting a minute by minute account of my life... my resume ..
where I come from, what age I am ... how long have I been here or
there ... what is my favourite colour. do I like green peas with
everything or only eat lettuce.. will I hold a position in life for them only I hasten
to add if you contact my agent.
All this information comes across the waves to me from me about me
and about you dear reader ... but then you may ask the question is it
accurate .... if it isnt up to your standards or mine lets do a retake!
Recently I attended a Recording of a show at the BBC Centre in London''s Horseferry road, and I was amused that in order for everything to be just right ... the BBC does at
least SIX takes on every shot .. thats professional for you these days... must admit
I found the whole business riotiously funny. Until it was my turn to participate as the active
audience ... we had to repeat our
claps as
a: they
werent loud enough:
b: they werent long enough
c: there werent enough claps in the programme
And the panelists of : NEVER MIND THE FULL STOPS: had to stop what they
were doing which was all about answering questions rather like my favourite old time
showman Jeremy Paxman''s Programme/University Challenge ... wait for me and the
rest of the
studio audience to get "the claps right"
At about 5.00 pm., without coffee or anything at all passing my lips I wearily
left the recording studio and made my way through security and across central
London at the busiest time of the day across to my hotel, and caught the
National Express Bus back home to Southampton. I was very nearly
"clapped out" ... Wonder if the television viewer noticed me there together with my friend
the "retired Civil Servant" ...
clapping ... clapping ... and clapping ... I was the one
with the pure white shirt and
black slacks with matching black leather/Italian shoes.
Keep on reading the blog ... Congratulations to Peres on his new JOB as
President of Israel ... happy reading ... excellent stuff!
