Middle East Times reports the sad passing of the great
Italian Fashion Designer Gianfranco Ferre aged 62 ....
Apparently Ferre studied Architecture before he was converted to
fashion ... his list of achievements fills the halls of fame in
fashion and he is honoured and listed as a great man of
design in fashion throughout the world ... he has many
times won great recogition from his peers and from his
clients and his clothes and designs have been worn
by such famous celebrities as Barbra Streisand and other
very famous and rich clientele ...
He was also greatly influenced by India and the designs
and colours from that country and there is a wonderful
comment referring to the colour pink, which was
obviously a great favourite in Ferre''s Fashion House.
He held high prestige and was offered and accepted this too - these
prestigious awards as the Designer of the Year and Ferre has been
highly acclaimed and honoured throughout his life and career
and will be sadly missed.
Its interesting to read the Middle East Times on the subject
of this great designer now sadly deceased ... apparently
he suffered from diabetes and was admitted to hospital and
died of a brain haemorraege ... so I suppose its the old
adage that "you pays your money and you takes your choice in life"
Gianfranco Ferre must have enjoyed life at the top of the tree though it
certainly took its toll in terms of his health.
Sad news ... in today''s blog ...keep on reading ... excellent stuff!
