The words on the page are magical and I keep thinking I would simply
love to board the jet plane tonight and take off to Turkey and buy and
live in one of these great villas or apartments privately owned in
Turkey.
The
beauty of the Turkish landscape never ceases to amaze me and I
must admit that during my teaching job there in Turkey I took in
a lot of the beauty of the countryside and enjoyed in particular
arriving on the doorstep of a Turk with his wonderfully warm welcome
and I admired the beauty of the surrounding sea and the joyous
pleasure in meeting up the mountains and the sea. plus the Company
I keep is simply divine!
The apartments are beautifully arranged and offer the owner
a sanctuary to live and write in and who knows you could
/shack up/ with a
business partner. I did try to moot the
notion of /life partner/ in a poem but I was heavily censored
and told .. to do it again ... so I had to abandon the dream
of having a business
partner in life ... even today I still
cling to the
notion of success in the world of investment
and employment perhaps to set a good example and
produce a practice that is perfect for the future
generations that are to come.
I received a pleasant
surprise though in affordability
unlike other places I have glanced at ... the affordability
appeals to my purse and it pulls my heartstrings in a
direction of beauty and the notion of being a poet in
residence still attracts me ... significantly.
