I was just about to tuck myself in and go off to bed with a good book
but thought better of it and decided to write on a little later than usual.
I noted with interest that the blog from Associated Press that
Buckingham Palace has announced that the Queen''s Third son
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie/Countess of Wessex is
expecting her second child ... her first child was born a few years
ago ... she is 42 years old.
I remember the trouble surrounding her state of marital bliss and
so I suppose she must be very happy tonight to be pregnant
There is usually a great discussion in Britain about the age
women should have children ... its as if we are taps and
we just "turn on" if and when it suits those around us .. so to do!
I suppose there is an ideal arrangement where young people
have children early in life and become what is known as
/teenage grandparents/ and we all know that this is dreadfully
wrong ... its not in the interests of the child or the parents
to burden down the very young with such responsibility.
But such is the way with Mother Nature that we take
life as it comes.
Then one is reminded by the Catholic Church that
Abortion in this country the UK is now 40 years old ... and
the Abortion Act is still on the statute books ... whether or
not you agree or disagree with abortion its there and in
practice. I know that in certain cases there is no
way out of raising this subject but myself I favour
lack of abortion if at all possible and the helping out
of the mother to be with her unborn and newly born child.
Still, the lady in waiting/Sophie/Countess of Wessex
wouldnt be facing hardship so her situation although
not physically different from most mums-to-be is
a far cry from the girls Britain chooses to refer to as
/single parent families/ seems an awful slur on their
Congralations to the Countess of Wessex and her
husband Prince Edward the Queen''s third son ...
I guess they know the sex of the child well before
its born .... all in the interests of progress - no doubt!
Associated Press/great stuff ... keep on reading ...
