The Vatican blasts out and there is another sex
scandal rocking the
boat ... it seems to be world wide this sex scandal and relates
to the sexual abuse of young children decades ago.
Lombardi is at the forefront of the discussion ...
A lot of the intended criticism is related to the Roman Catholic
Church and the headline reads that the Catholic Church is not the
only establishment that is involved.
The sex scandal broke in Boston United States of America -
heads will roll and they did ..
There has been a big pay out pre-trial in America of about
$600 million and about 505 plaintiffs are probably "paid up"
There was acute distress in Pope Benedict when he was
Cardinal Ratzinger and he decried the "filth" in the Church.
Pope Benedict was elected in 2005 - and an 86 year old
clergyman who had perpetrated these sex
crimes decades
ago. --- was disciplined.
There is a digging up of sex scandal at the moment and
critics
argue that it is hurting the image of the Church
as well as desensitising the feelings of those who
read about sexual crimes in times past ... however,
there is a need for clarification and Reuters certainly
provides that element.
The Vatican has been issuing statements probably since
1996 but there are now moves afoot to end this
scandal of the Catholic Church.
Some say that it is hyped up by the Press, others argue
there is not enough discussion on the behaviour of priests
of the Church in relation to their young and innocent
flock.
