member of the Literary Elite so I discussed this morning in town - and therefore my work is published which means
I am a professional to my fingers - join the
professionals ...
Every now and then I receive a blog from Robert Posner entitled:
Literary Review
and the whole semblance of the newsletters if one of /spoofing/ it looks like
someone along the line is a "bad loser" or doesnt like "Literature" and
feels the need for the "put down" rather than the PRAISE BE business.
I come to this conclusion as the section on India includes :

and we all know what that led to
Ghandi
and the hunger strike ... and what followed ..
but the Literary Review is not a lesson plan for the history teacher as it
refers briefly to
Virginia Woolfe the great female author and feminist
(and it was one of my first class essays at College! - so Literary Review you had
better look to your laurels!") .... anyway the joke is
"Was Virginia Woolfe nice to her servants?"
I dont know ... I didnt live in that period ... but she was a well heeled lady of that I have no
doubt ... to broaden the argument somewhat ... I see nothing wrong in
Sir Salman Rushdie''s work .... no mistakes at all .. and I bow to the Crown ... and whole heartedly agree that Rushdie is a great writer ... but is he nasty to his servants ...
I dont know as I am not a
member of his upper class set ... He and Woolfe are
without question the Upper Class and throughout my life I am pushed under a stone
as:
working class:
retired:
fat:
council tenant:
low class:
so I guess I will never
touch the top class people ... reach out and touch somebody''s hand and make this a better place if you can .... HE DID ...
President Bill Clinton : shook my hand ... but I never did receive the big pay
cheque and I am back at the bottom of the class system ... will I ever crawl out ... I wonder or will they let me! Some say they will let you in America not England ... I will keep you posted ... especially if you are a member of the Literary Elite!
