I rose with the lark and got down to reading my emails which were all the way from Auckland New Zealand inviting me to go back to work again in China and I said "Yes" to it but its the paperwork that most people hate that somehow dampens one''s enthusiasm and besides my Book Signing of ROCK ME on 7 September at 3 pm with Ely of Poetry Society and Stella Thompson is a priority as I have waited and waited and in fact my friends the Lawyers said I had better just get used to the waiting game and of course I have finally got it
pre booked ... the Poetry Cafe is closed this week for refurnishment so when I finally do appear it will be all shiny and new .. looking forward to it at last now that my preparation is nearly completion.
I read that Liz Taylor the Hollywood diva is competing for the part of Norma Desmond a Hollywood Legend together with Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Andrew Lloyd Webber is
interviewing or "casting" I wonder who will get the part!
In my world its often Kate Aidie the famous BBC Journalist who goes there before me ... as I was walking past a bookstore in town in Belfast Northern Ireland and the shop
was positively buzzing and I learnt from a passerby that Kate Aidie was doing a
"book signing" - I heard later she had a row with the PM Tony Blair and he retired her!! In my case Gordon Brown doesnt have to bother doing that as they retired me well in advance of my book signing .....
Happy Holidays on Bank Holiday weekend coming up soon!
Excellent blog ....
