Having just returned from London where I did my first ever
Book signing of my book ... Rock Me ... genre . . poetry .... www.publishamerica.com cost: £8. at: www.waterstones.com I bumped into a guy who looked exactly like Elton John and I asked him for directions to Covent Garden Tube Station ... which he dutifully gave ... incidentally I proceeded in a straight line and Covent Garden Tube Station was closed ...
However last
night was a
great night''s entertainment and Elton John and Red Piano was on the
radio from London and some of my all time favourites such as Daniel and
many more great songs ... including a line often quoted by DJs such as Chris Evans ... "Sorry is the hardest word" were sung and played beautifully by Elton John and his band ... the
music was intoxicating and the whole show was broadcast to absolute perfection.
I have enjoyed the music of Elton John now over the last 20 years where I worked full time in England mainland UK as a qualified teacher and lecturer in Drama ... and note that
Elton John mentioned last night on the radio on BBC Radio 2 programme Red Piano ... that he had just turned 60 ... Congratulations Elton John!
May Elton John have many beautiful years and continue this great music of his ... a sound to share for those who care about music and the arts in London and indeed
Internationally.
I joined that great group of writers in London at my book signing/Rock Me on 7 September 07 and we are now all together on it with promoting the arts and popularing poetry ... Elton John is a great poet too ...
wonderful words, wonderful lyrics and wonderful music combined to create an enjoyable Saturday''s evening music .. I love listening to music, commented an Engineer friend recently ... dont we all . join with you in those
sentiments ...
Happy listening ... keep on reading the blogs ... excellent stuff!
