I laughed all the way to the bank for once in my life I had proved infallibly that I was in the right and the bank was in
the wrong .... they stood down, said "sorry" and I got my PC fixed and came home did a bit of surfing and found a recording on the website .

I listened for a moment''s entertainment and focused on the above three poems .. I had had much discussion with a group of writers on /Moy Sand and Gravel/and had heard about
Muldoon''s Pulitzer Prize Winning recently .... so another caught my attention ..
"Duffys Circus" or words to that effect ... conjures up memories of circus attendance, in Northern Ireland .. I even remember my own visits in childhood to Duffys Circus.
Cuba and the JFK days ... very potent poem ..........but I was surprised at the title of
"At Least They Werent Speaking French" so I assume they must have been speaking English .. in my career I am known to get hot under the collar with the very mention of anything against the French Language or Culture as I have been a student of French since I was 3 up to 17 years old .... so in the days of my childhood it wasnt surprising my school friends considered me something of an expert in French .... highly charged, full of evocative opinions and Paul Muldoon''s flowing conversation style of reading adds to the flavour of his great poetry ... he is a great poet! Great stuff .. keep on blogging...
