Its fun to receive a newscast from the US and Fox News is a great favourite during my teaching time in Istanbul, Turkey.
Its great to see that Disney
Pictures are very
popular and they cite a movie called "Enchanted" which has a figure on it of fifty million dollars so its something of a record in the financial success of film making. The
reason given is that the film "Enchanted" is about escapism and that the films on war are now hitting hard times and people when they watch movies want to "enjoy" and have "fun" and more than anything else "escape" into an enjoyable film ....... and "Enchanted" fits the bill.
I must admit Disney Movies formed part of my favourite films in childhood and I note the emergence of the JK Rowling team especially here in England ..... the appeal of the home grown best selling box office talent of JK Rowling has stimulated both the press and the population as a whole in the UK ........ I still prefer books for
children that have a historical twist and are escapist .... I saw a JK Movie recently and the horrid masques of the characters ... and their charactization seems to create great applause in an audience of children ... I prefer pretty people such as in the Disney pictures of say, Cinderella .... Snow white and I love the snappy happy dialogue of Disney Pictures of the past ... endless joy ..keep on blogging..
