when it was the rage to invite
Who''s Who In the Neighbourhood to a party ...I was forever
in their debt so one way of clearing the backlog of babysitting, and looking after the cat when I was Overseas or Out in the Town ... had to be paid in full so it was incumbent upon me at the time to rig
something up such as a
Cheese and Wine Party.
I dutifully ordered cheese from Carrefour and Wine from a local Wine Store and got out my best China and talked a lot about it to the housekeeper as to how, what, where and when our
guests would arrive and what I would do to ensure they had a delightful and enjoyable evening. They did ......... I received the Thank You Cards later on that same year.
It was a memorable time in 1981 but even today I suppose when people say ...
do you ever have parties yourself .......... the answer is still "Yes I Do" ... Happy Memories with the guests at my Cheese and Wine Party in 1981 in England!
