famous American
actors who are causing a bit of a stir at the moment according to Yahoo Alerts.
Rubert Everett British actor age 48 has seen fit to call them names ... name calling if ever I heard it is a bad business at the best of times.
However, the actors Everett is referring to are: Robert De Niro - Al Pacino whom he
describes in negative terms as tragic parodies .. and includes among these
famous actors more Hollywood Legends such as Woody Allen and Diane Keaton ....
Its odd Rupert Everett should email me as I dont know that its a major world concern of mine to chart the progress of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Woody Allen or Diana Keaton as I am not employed by them nor have they ever heard of me ... certainly I have seen them on film and I suppose the best of their work is in the early part of their career, but then I would have thrown the baby out with the bathwater had it not been for the Swedish Academy selection of Doris Lessing at 87-88 as the oldest woman ever in the history of Literature to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2007.
I suppose authors make their own news and so do I as I regard myself these days as an author and I do write for royalties .... but Lessing made a point too about the writer''s role not being one of dressing up ... stuff and nonsense .. Lessing is not one to talk .... I saw her all dressed up when interviewed in London about winning the Nobel Prize for Literature ... and I thought she cut quite a dash!
Easy does it Rupert Everett as you might end up in the same position as those famous actors you are name calling ......... a virtual tragic parody yourself ... I hope not ... great stuff from
