When someone grabs your Passport at a big international
airport you - you are go into a spin and rush about the
place like a mad thing wondering what on earth to do. Well, first of all calm down and consult with the desk in the centre of the airport when you find it. Dont panic and keep your thoughts to yourself and dont worry the airline about your late arrival since it is now believed that your
passport has been stolen. And of course you cannot board the flight internationally until they or you have found your treasured passport. Hopefully like me you have a spare passport and can shack something up to get out of the country pronto! pronto! But the Airport Police wont like you running away at short notice without first
checking every single desk that handles "lost" "stolen" or "missing" passports. So with the faith of the angels you can proceed to yet another desk and mention slowly but without
fear of interruption or disagreement that your passport is not on your person. You will need some sort of ID at this stage so be sure before you leave home that you have your
Examiners ID No from your work files ... or failing that .. look up a bill or two that might bear your name address and telephone number and if thats not possible in all of this chaos the other most reasonable suggestion is to carry with you at all times a set of excellent
references which bear your name: address: and that of the person whose references you carry ... your own - written by someone who probably lives a million miles away from where you are. Finally, all this information is correct and you are ready to produce ID on demand because the Airport staff have found your passport and someone an official possibly has picked up your passport and failed to return it to you unlike the Airport Authorities. So you must remember to say "thank you very much" pick up your passport .. keep it safely away from thieves or others and now board your flight for Vienna Austria ...... if it hasnt gone which of course it hasnt and you will be known forever as having "perfect timing" Passport Problems ... sorted out ...great blogging. ...
