I see a little word and it begins with S ... and your 3 year old son replies ... I know its
Star .. and naturally you say "Yes Darling you are absolutely right ... good boy!"
The War of words always catches my attention and several generations ago the
broadcast would be something like "76 year old retired Doctor falls off chair!" and
these days ... its quite different and is something like /elderly man of 76 sits on chair""
With the love story and marriage programmes much in evidence I often wonder
why we dont have .... the words to describe life other than in personal terms.
For example ... Generally speaking the Professions look after their people .. or
Wrapping up the news ... the Chairman of the Board said .... Ladies and Gentleman ...
