The Golden Globe has been cancelled due to the big
strike of Writers in America .. and they pose the question ......... is
there a waiver on the Academy Awards ... we wait with
bated breath.
The Twiggy woman is depicted all over the world and even as far away from East Meets West in Istanbul .. her icon dominates .. Twiggy a model or actress or worker depending on your point of view. Has Our Twiggy not heard of Dame Helen Mirren who won the Academy Award for the QUEEN FILM which has been recently purhcased by me at five pounds on DVD ... Mirren is certainly well worth watching Twiggy and it looks like she can wear thegreat clothes at 62 with great skill and dexterity... I gather Mirren is about the same age as The Twiggy woman but never the twain shall meet. Everytime somebody goes on
strike I am called upon to ... fill in .. the forms . and then they phone me back and want to do all the form filling themselves even though they are on strike. My purpose in life is to activate them, I guess!
Wonder when the Writers Strike will end in America and will it be like some of the UK strikes .......... it will continue to annoy me . as it held up my Christmas post and all my presents were late from Europe and I didnt
receive them on Christmas Day! Sorry! Sorry! I heard you say to me . the other day.. the suffering public .. great blog. keep on blogging.
Of course to improve matters I DID receive The Hilton Honours Pen for Poetry from Southampton Hilton .. wow!
