Quite literally, dead centre .. its funny .. I havent laughed so much since I first got a 40 page message from Eskisehir
Turkey in Turkish and I did my translation bit and found that I had missed the "punch line". So what is the resolution to this ... several books ... on and in Turkish .. I went with the spirit of the times and found an answer press Submit in Turkish providing you can find it on the web pages as it may have run off by the time you have located the "word" Man. Anyway I got to the end of it all and found the Punch line similar to what I got this morning from New Yorker via another group.
The cartoon features a fish/man with a fish top and
human feet sitting on an examining medical
table and his human feet are hanging over the edge of the examination table ... the doctor says ... the caption .. the punch line ... "It appears to be a self inflicted metaphor" ... how funny ... its nearly getting back to the cliche which was held to be in phonetics a place in Paris France not a well worn saying so dont avoid the Cliche make friends with it .. love the cliche .. But what a wonderful punch line from the New Yorker .. great fun and just right for Mothers Day here in the UK ..... its ... Poets Day in New York always with you ... take care ...
