The
collective terms do work but then they can cause conflict too when we have a situation where people disagree. For
example the word "
retired" has become a buzz word and everone seems to be "retired" but well may one ask .. a "retired" what?
If we have a
collective word which describes a condition of say, age, gender, race, class, or anything that pertains to these issues... then you must seek clarification and put in what sort of retired person you are .. I heard at the weekend .. retired priest .... Anglican or Catholic Greek or Russian ... isnt there something missing. Its assumed that if you are a Catholic you will forget JFK and his great statements that he would not let his Church dictate what to do to America .. he would serve his country .. and JFK did .. in the career that spanned his short time on earth. Its the same for everyone . no one wants to hang about as "retired" if they can channel their energy into something useful for society .. great work ...
