Being put to the test in everything recently including poetry I was fascinated by the
choice of boxes that appear on these
testing tests online and elsewhere. For
example, if one was teaching words to describe .. Whats in your room and I selected the following ..
Chair, mat, book, Umbrella.
and asked you to select one and I said the word must have a maximum of 3 letters then the choice would be easy .. but if I gave you freedom to put in any word you would need a "link" say to select one of the remaining words .. so I could group words according to a link such as ......... I spy something with my little eye beginning with "C", or "B" or "U" and then you could put that word in the correct box.
It was like that with my choice on Freeverse and of course I scored 100 percent because I know a lot about American Literature and so on but what if you selected Seamus Heaney as an example of Freeverse! Well, sorry news would be you would fail your online
poetry test.. so always check which country the test applies to . in my case it was the USA ..so I won!
