They can do a lot of things to you .... it must the Frasier Comedy joke ... again and again which is running in todays cartoon from Trudeau i.e. Doonesbury where the man has lost his
mother .. his Mum his Mammy his Mom his Mumsy popsickle and so on .. the added additions are my own invention. As its a bit of a hang up from the past to call everyone your Mum especially if they are somebody really important like a LadyPoet in spite of or as well as being your /Mum/ still it adds spice to the gingerbread.
